Description

Food Recovery Fellows Volunteer Opportunity (June–December)

Are you looking to stay active, give back, and remain connected to your community? Join Food Recovery Fellows, a six-month service-learning program with Share My Meals.

This unique opportunity is designed for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact through hands-on service and community engagement.

As a Food Recovery Fellow, you’ll work alongside a cohort of peers to support meal recovery routes serving nonprofit partners. Your efforts will help ensure that high-quality surplus food reaches individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Beyond volunteering, you’ll also participate in engaging in-person and virtual sessions exploring topics like food recovery, sustainability, and food security.

Program Details:

  • Duration: June through December

  • Training: Provided prior to the start of service

  • Requirements: Access to a car with valid insurance and a smartphone

  • Time Commitment:

    • Weekly meal pickup and delivery routes in Mercer County (~60 minutes)

    • Monthly learning sessions (August–October), with varying lengths depending on content and activities

If you’re ready to make a difference while building connections and learning alongside others, we encourage you to apply and become part of this meaningful community experience.
