Who We Are

Mercer Council is a private, non-profit agency dedicated to the prevention of substance abuse and its harmful consequences. Mercer Council actively provides quality alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse prevention and early intervention programs and services in partnership with individuals, families, schools, communities, businesses and professionals throughout Mercer County. Our professional staff have been trained in evidence-based prevention programs and practices and are passionate about their work. Our staff come from backgrounds as teachers, social workers, certified prevention specialists or mental health professionals. Our core values include integrity, teamwork, empathy, accountability, relevance and commitment to those we serve and one another.

Mercer Council is committed to its mission of creating pathways to reduce substance-related challenges through education, support, advocacy, and partnerships throughout our community. Mercer Council implements research-based programs to provide children and families with tools that empower them to make healthy, safe and responsible choices.
